Anyone who knows the peace that comes with being in the wilderness for an extended period of time knows how the cares and troubles of the world melt away to an almost surreal afterthought. But the problem is we (or at least I) have never been able to take that state of mind back home and keep it. In the 43 years that I have been alive, and in the 25 years that I have been a Christian, I can truly say that only in following Jesus Christ have I found this same peace anywhere other than in nature. Therefore, the phrases and scriptures in these cards are reflections from how Jesus Christ has helped me. I certainly don’t expect that everyone will find them helpful or even agreeable. In these cases, I apologize. If they are helpful, however, I can wholeheartedly say that, even though I can’t take the creation (nature) home with me, the Creator is more than willing to make His home in me!
